Critical Content: The American Indians living in the Upper Ohio River Valley used the land, forests and waterways to maintain a traditional lifestyle. They liked trading with the Europeans, but did not want them to settle their lands. The American Indians were fighting to maintain control of their land and their cultural future. The French claimed the Upper Ohio River Valley. They wanted to trade with the American Indians and control the area. The British also claimed the Upper Ohio River Valley. The British settlers wanted to farm the land, the British traders wanted to trade with the American Indians, and the British land speculators wanted to buy the land so they could make a profit selling it. In 1975 the Valley of the Dinosaurs was built at the Silesian Zoo - at this time it was the only such exposition in Poland. In the years 1963-71 in the Gobi desert, Polish paleontologists carried out excavation works, which resulted in the dinosaurs presented in the valley. They were created as a result of the reconstruction of the remains found in the Gobi desert. The original remains of these dinosaurs are now in the Department of Paleozoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. In the Silesian ZOO the Dinosaurs are at its natural size. When the Valley of the Dinosaurs was built, the dinosaurs presented there were the first reconstructions of newly discovered species. In the valey you can see sixteen dinosaurs. These are representatives of the following species: Gallimimus, Tarbosaurus, Nemegtosaurus, Protoceratops, Prenocephale, Saichania, Saurolophus.

HistoryFirst sung at an Idaho football game in 1931, \"Go Vandals, Go\" was adopted as Idaho's only fight song. It was composed by J.M. \"Morey\" O'Donnell, a longtime Moscow attorney, when he was a freshman at the University. A native of Granite, Idaho (north of Coeur d'Alene), Morey was a child prodigy who began playing the piano at age six, was in an orchestra by 13, and was traveling the world with a dance orchestra by the time he entered the University in 1930.
At that time, Idaho's fight song was \"On Idaho\" which was sung to the tune of \"On Wisconsin.\" The ASUI sponsored an annual songfest competition among the classes, and one of its purposes was to find a new fight song. \"Go Vandals, Go\" won the competition in 1930 and immediately became the Vandals only mantra. It was copyrighted by the University in 1931.
The chorus was written as whole notes and half notes so that it could be easily sung by a large crowd. Many school songs are difficult to sing because of the fast beat used to make them spirited. \"Go Vandals\" instead relies on a heavy drum beat and the nature of the words to carry the spirit. As a result, it is continually cited as one of the top college fight songs in America.(Courtesy UI Marching Band)

The immune system responds to different organisms it perceives as harmful by activating one of several different types of immunities, similar to how a computer runs a program to complete a certain function. Type 1 immunity, for instance, is the program the immune system runs to fight most bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other such harmful microorganisms that cause infections. Type 1 immunity uses interferon gamma to coordinate its attack. Type 2 immunity is the program the immune system runs to fight certain parasites, such as worm or tick infections, or in response to particular allergens.
When the immune system responds to a threat by running a particular program, all the immune cells tune in to that same program. In order to adequately fight an infection, the immune system must run the correct program.
As the federal government and state governments expand their climate change efforts, they should use TCC as a model for programs to be implemented all over the U.S. To simultaneously fight climate change and build community health and prosperity, funders and policymakers must invest in community capacity and community-led transformations at all levels. The U.S. must fund a pathway from planning to implementation, as well as support the local ecosystems needed to support community transformation.
Transformative Climate Communities is a community capacity-building model for fighting climate change, building economic prosperity and redressing the historic systemic disinvestment of low-income neighborhoods. The TCC model empowers the communities most impacted by poverty and pollution to choose their own goals, strategies and projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and deliver multiple tangible benefits.
This approach represents a model for national climate change efforts that should be replicated at both the federal and state levels. For our full analysis of the Transformative Climate Communities program, download the complete report. 153554b96e
